Annie's Book Stop of Worcester

The little bookstore that's bigger on the inside

June is really hopping at Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester.  Hopefully you saw the great article about us in Worcester Magazine!  We are busy helping students, parents, and teachers find their summer reading lists, as well as books for the fall semester.

But wait – there’s more!

We have several great events for our friends in June, too!

Starting tomorrow, James C. McIntosh will be at the store from 7PM until 9PM.  This local suspense author will be talking, reading, and signing some of his many titles.  Whether you’re already a fan or looking for a new author who will make you hold your breath and keep you turning pages, stop in!

Friday, June 22, the New England Chapter of the Broad Universe Literary Coalition will be bringing several women authors of science fiction, fantasy, horror – and everything in between – for an evening of reading, signing, and discussion of writing adventures and publishing.  The event will run from 5PM until 9PM, with a rotating schedule – something new every hour!  Broad Universe is an international non-profit dedicated to celebrating, honoring, and promoting women who write speculative fiction.

Then, on Friday, June 29th, local author and humorist Joe Fusco, Jr. will be reading from his recently published collection of essays, The Lost Then Found Essays of Joe Fusco Jr.  Prepare for a night of funny and poignant stories from an author who’s been published in multiple magazines throughout New England.

And more excellent guests are in the works!  Follow our blog, sign up for our email, and “Like” us on Facebook for more details and updates.

Also, don’t forget Spinning Yarns happens every Thursday, starting at 7.  We’re currently listening to the radio play Doctor Who: The Ghosts of N-Space.  Join us while having fun with your favorite craft or textile.

There’s always a good reason to stop into Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester.
