We’re thanking our local teachers and educators for all their hard work with an extra sale and events designed for educators from March 10-16.
In addition to a special 10% educator discount on top of existing discounts for teachers… on top of our existing discounts on books, we’ll host a different speaker each day who will insights on classroom learning on a variety of topics.
Monday, March 11: Loree Griffin Burns on science in the classroom
Tuesday, March 12: C. C. Beechum on getting students involved with Shakespeare

Thursday, March 14: Trisha J. Wooldridge on helping students self-edit their writing

Next Friday, March 22, Worcester Storytellers will host a special evening with students. Five students from North Brookfield Jr-Sr High School, each currently enrolled in Creative Writing with Heather Macpherson, will read and perform their own work, consisting of poems and flash fiction.
ABSW will also be part of an off-site event at Conbust, a feminist science fiction/fantasy convention at Smith College in Northampton, MA on March 29th. Patty and Padraic will be there all day Saturday, and Patty will be presenting on “The Women of Doctor Who.” There will also be a table with selected titles by the convention guests and guests of honor, as well as some of our popular Doctor Who toys and gift items.
