What’s Going on at Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester
Happy Summer everyone!
Memorial Day has passed, as has Book Expo America, so things are getting back to normal for our little “bigger on the inside” bookstore as we settle in with our summer hours and events.
Last week, Patty and the staff visited the residents of The Lodge at Eddy Pond and the Hermitage Golden Living Center to bring books to some of our customers who can’t get to us easily. We had a great welcome and were happy to bring smiles to many faces!
Our two weekend events, Joni Mayhan’s and Pat Glodis’ readings and signings, had to get postponed due to personal obligations from both authors, so keep an eye on our site for details of when you can catch them!
We’re in the process of updating several of our events for the season, but here are a few you can mark your calendars for:
WORCESTER STORYTELLERS – FRIDAY, JUNE 28 AT 7PM
Worcester Storytellers continue to thrive at ABSW with their monthly open mics and featured authors. Meeting every fourth Friday of the month, the Storytellers are open to all sorts of readings from poetry to prose, fiction to nonfiction, and across all genres. This month, on Friday, June 28th, the featured reader after the open mic is Robert Steele.
SPINNING YARNS – WEDNESDAYS AT 7PM
Every Wednesday, starting at 7PM, ABSW hosts Spinning Yarns, a chance for you to work on your favorite craft – be it knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, writing, or whatever – while listening to an audiobook or audio play. Join us for a relaxing evening listening to good literature!
