After a fabulous few weeks between Necon, Worcester Storytellers, Eric Aubin’s massive release party, and Claudia Dillaire’s magickal Sunday, ABSW is really looking forward to the rest of this summer—and totally letting our geek flags fly!
We just received two new Doctor Who magazines, one including some lost Second Doctor episode info and the other looking at the past ten years of the series’ reboot. And you will definitely want to keep your eye on our blog for British Tuesday – as in tomorrow – for some more super-geek-out info post Comic-Con International!
With the last month of summer vacation arriving this week, let’s take a look at some of the events we’ve got planned for you!
Sunday, August 4, 1-4PM: Pat Glodis’ Snooky
Pat Glodis will be signing and talking about her beautiful heartwarming book, Snooky, a true story about a little dog trying to find his home in the Quinsigamond Village of the ‘40s and ‘50s.
Saturday, August 10, 4-7PM: An Evening of Suspense
Local suspense authors D.M. Roberts, James MacIntosh, and Joni Mayhan read, talk, and sign in this early evening event.

Friday, August 23, 7-8:30 PM: Worcester Storytellers
Join the Worcester Storytellers for their monthly open-mic and readings event. This month features author Stephanie Monahan.
Also, don’t forget to also visit us on Wednesdays at 7PM, ABSW hosts Spinning Yarns, a chance for you to work on your favorite craft – be it knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, writing, or whatever – while listening to an audiobook or audio play. Check out our Sunday blogs to what we’re listening to. Join us for a relaxing evening listening to good literature!
As always, thank you for your continued support of our independent bookstore at 65 James Street, Worcester, MA, and may your world always be full of wonderful words!
