Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all who celebrate it!

It’s so nice to have the sun out later! And to see the snow disappearing!  We hope all our friends are enjoying the change of seasons.

We’re still going through some changes, ourselves, at ABSW. 🙂 We’ll be changing to “summer” hours shortly, and of course, what’s on our shelves is always changing and being updated based on trade-ins and what cool deals Patty and Michael find in their endeavors.

Recently, we realized we had to change one of our upcoming events, too.  Last week we announced our Dark Carnival of Authors happening on the weekend of April 26-27.  Unfortunately, those dates are not going to work for us.  We’ve contacted the authors we had scheduled and are looking at June 21-22 as a potential rescheduling date.  We’re sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused with the change, and we hope to still see people come out and support this fundraiser in June!

Our other events are still all the same—and starting this weekend!

Women of Myth and Legend, in celebration of Women’s History Month, is happening this Sunday, March 23, from 2-4 PM. Terri-Lynne DeFino, Francesca Forrest, and T. J. Wooldridge will be hosting a panel to talk about the fables, folktales, and more that they researched and created for their novels and stories. Join us for the stories-behind-the-stories, and the adventures-behind-the-adventures!

Worcester Storytellers return for some poetry on Friday, March 28, from 7-8:30 PM.  After their Open Mic, the featured reader will be Richard Fox, who will be sharing from his poetry collection, Time Bomb. And again on April 25 at the same time of 7-8:30 PM, Worcester Storytellers comes back, featuring Diane V. Mulligan reading from her latest novel, The Latecomers Fan Club after the Open Mic session.

ABSW at 65 James Street looks forward to seeing you whenever you stop in, for a book or for an event.

And may your world be filled with wonderful words!
