After the long weekend and an excellent event at Old Homes Day with Ellen Cooney last Saturday, we’re not slowing down one bit this month or next! Here’s a preview of what to expect as we roll into the school year.
New Fall Hours – ABSW will be closing at 5PM on Sundays now.
New Spinning Yarns Day and Time – Spinning Yarns will be moving to Mondays at 7PM. Join us for a crafty evening with audiobooks and more!
New Literary Genre Trivia Night – Starting this Wednesday, September 10, Literary Genre trivia night will be happening on the second Wednesday of every month. This month features Strictly Science Fiction literature! Join us for a chance to win a gift certificate through your awesome genre knowledge. For the next Genre Trivia Night, on October 8, we’ll be looking at Horror.

Book a seat now for the upcoming Sunday, September 14 Energy Leadership Workshop with Gayle Suzanne. The event happens from 2-5PM and costs $29. Are you finding blocks to your success? Do you feel stuck? Join us for an enlightening workshop with Gayle Suzanne, CPC, ELI-MP, ALB, a Certified Professional Coach and Energy Leadership Master Practitioner. Her book, It’s In the Little Things made it to number 74 on Amazon for Self Help.
And then, on Saturday, September 20, from 3-5PM, ABSW is hosting Matt Herring, who is sharing his Doctor Who Fan Guidebook. Matt “Matman” Herring, half the team of the popular Secret Identity Podcast, has published a fan guidebook, The Unofficial Doctor Who Companion, and will be at the bookstore celebrating our favorite programme!
On Friday, September 26, from 7-8:30 PM, Worcester Storytellers returns to ABSW.
And then, on Saturday, September 27, from 2-4PM, author Brian McKeown will be here for a discussion of his book, Hannah’s Left Hook will be here to talk about the research and inspiration behind his book.
Finally, closing out the month of September, on Sunday, September 28, from 2-4PM we’re hosting the popular panel Journey into an Author’s Imagination with authors Stacy Juba and Amanda Torrey. Stacy is known for writing her “characters at the crossroads” stories and Amanda writes uplifting YA stories full of growth and discovery.

Small Business Saturday! Local authors will descend on ABSW with awesome books to buy for your holiday shopping needs.
