Welcome to a new feature on our blog, “Bookstore Mapping” which will be posted on Sundays. This is a revival / reimagining of our previous “Anatomy of a Bookstore” series on LiveJournal, where we would spotlight genres in alphabetical order and then focus on particular authors within those genres, also in alphabetical order.
On our website, located at http://www.anniesbooksworcester.com, we have recently added a page called ABSW A to W. There are so many genres that we carry, so many services that we offer, and so many ways in which we want to serve you, the immediate Worcester community and the larger book-buying community.
Take a peek at some of the entries on that page; for example, we’ve got an explanation of ARCs (Advance Reader Copies). A brief quote: Did you know you can actually get FREE books at ABSW? Advance Reader Copies, also called ARCs, are sent out by publishers to the book trade, even before the first editions, to get stores interested in ordering them.
You’re bound to find something that you’re looking for on our “A to W” page, with more catefories and notions being added all the time! Then come back every Sunday to this blog page and see what we’re showing off in any given week.
