Annie's Book Stop of Worcester

The little bookstore that's bigger on the inside

09072015 - labor-day-flag-3Happy Labor Day, Friends of Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester!

Do you know what we’re celebrating on Labor Day? According to the Department of Labor: Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

And if you want to celebrate by finding the best book to relax and unwind with, our little “bigger on the inside” bookstore on 65 James Street is open today for our regular hours of 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM! Come on in!

Spinning Yarns friends are also welcome to join us on Labor Day at the usual 7:00 PM time.

We’re currently in the process of reworking our shelves to better serve our customers, so we are a little light on events for September, but we do still have these awesome things happening:

THIS SUNDAY: September 13, Sunday, from 12:00 – 5:00 PM at the Becker College Campus, Leicester, Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester will be running the Book Nook at Pet Rock Fest. Besides selling books, we’ll be bringing our friend Liz Mugavero, author of the Pawsitively Organic cozy pet mystery series.

And for the rest of the month…

September 17, Thursday; 7:00 – 8:00 PM. Doctor Who Talks: MONSTERS!

September 25, Friday; 7:00 – 8:30 PM. Worcester Storytellers

As a reminder, our regular events are…

Spinning Yarns Craft and Audiobook Social, every Monday at 7:00PM. Bring a craft and enjoy an audiobook or audio drama with other crafty booklovers!

Worcester Storytellers, the fourth Friday of every month from 7-8:30 PM. For the complete updates and schedules, follow Worcester Storytellers on Facebook!

As always, keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for the most up-to-date information.

May your world be filled with wonderful words!
