The beauty of autumn is falling upon us, with the gorgeous leaves dancing in gusts of wind. It’s perfect weather to share frightening stories for the season or just curl up under your favorite blanket with a book! And we can help you with either.
We’ve filled a whole bookcase in our children’s section with spooky tales for kids and teens—and grown-ups who still love their scary stories. Come check us out!
There’s also a few days left for anyone interested in the 2016 WCCATV New Voices award. The contest is looking for Young Poets Poems as well as hosting their singing contest. Among the prizes are gift certificates to Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester. Find out more on their website. The deadline is October 15.
THIS WEEK, we’ve got two events coming up…
THIS FRIDAY, October 14, at 4:00 PM our Rainbow Readers Youth discusses Juliet Takes a Breath by Gabby Rivera. Take note of the new time of 4:00 PM that we hope better fits into our students’ schedules. We do still have books in stock for you to purchase, and you don’t have to have finished the book to enjoy the discussion on Friday!
THIS SATURDAY, October 15, at 6:00 PM, our Rainbow Readers discusses Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire. We have the discussion book in stock, as well as several other titles by Seanan McGuire, as well, for those who are fans of her work. Like with our youth group, folks don’t need to have finished the book to enjoy the discussion and companionship of the Rainbow Readers.
And coming up next week…
On Thursday, October 20, 7:00 PM, our Doctor Who Discussion Night ranks the Top Ten Scariest Doctor Who episodes! Join us and share your favorite episodes that had you hiding behind the couch!

Of course, you all should know better than to think we wouldn’t have some fabulous Halloween plans!
