October is more than halfway through—can you believe it?
We spoke with the Telegram, and we’ll be hearing about whether or not we won the Central Mass “Best Of” contest in November or so. As soon as we hear, we will let you know! And we’ll also let you know when we hear about the winners of the WCCATV New Voices winners, too.
We’re going to jump right to the events, though, because THIS WEEK, we have two events we’re excited about!
On Thursday, October 20, 7:00 PM, we have our Doctor Who Discussion Night ranks the Top Ten Scariest Doctor Who episodes event! Join us and share your favorite episodes that had you hiding behind the couch!
And THEN, we have our VERY SPECIAL EVENT on Saturday, October 22, ALL DAY – ABSW Celebrates Halloween Dark Shadows Style. It’s the 50 Year Anniversary of Dark Shadows! The full day of events starts at 11:00 AM and goes until about 6:00 PM or when people are done with the party.
Actors Sharon Smyth (Sarah Collins) and Kathryn Leigh Scott (Maggie Evans and Josette DuPres) are joining us for Skype interviews.
Penny Dreadful XIII from Penny Dreadful’s Shilling Shockers will be joining us for a panel on Dark Shadows – as well as a host for some of the trivia contests we’re having! Trivia prizes are of gorgeous photos in color, black and white, and some signed.
We’ll also be having a costume contest throughout the day, with a reproduction of Barnabas Collins’s wolf’s head cane as our grand prize.
Join us for a full day of spooky, soapy fun!
Of course, you all should know better than to think we wouldn’t have some fabulous Halloween plans!
Join us for HALLOWEEN WEEKEND FUN! From Saturday to Sunday, October 29-30, join us for ALL DAY festivities. The store will host drop-in Crafts in the mornings, spooky stories in the afternoons, and grab-bags for anyone in costume while supplies last.
And if you’re in the area on Monday, Halloween, October 31, visit the store in costume for grab-bag treats while supplies last!
If that’s not enough, take a look at our awesome line-up of events for November…
