And speaking of the Fourth of July, we are OPEN for our regular hours all week, including on July 4th. Our regular hours are:
- Monday-Thursday – 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Friday-Saturday – 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Sunday – 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Thank you to everyone who came out to the events this past week at our little “bigger on the inside” bookstore at 65 James Street! On Wednesday, we had a wonderful time with Donna Minkowitz for our Pride Month celebrations with Rainbow Readers. On Friday, we were happy to host Worcester Storytellers and their featured reader, Cameron Garriepy. And on Saturday, we had our last Pride Event with the Rainbow Readers, our second installment of Love is Love, featuring a panel of authors from Bold Strokes Books!
Since this is the last week of June, it’s your last chance to take advantage of our Report Card Rewards Program! From June 1 to June 30, bring your final 2017 report card into our 65 James Street store and receive free books!
If your highest grade is an “A”, you’ll receive two free used books.
If your highest grade is a “B”, you’ll receive one free used book.
If you have a straight “A” report card (including A+ and A-), you will receive a $10 gift certificate to Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester.
If you have a straight “B” report card (including B+ and B-), you will receive a $5 gift certificate to Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester.
One prize per report card.

THIS WEDNESDAY, June 28, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM we are offering Drop in Craft & Storytime: Maurice Sendak Day. Join us for crafts and stories from the beloved Maurice Sendak, best known for Where the Wild Things Are. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Spinning Yarns Craft and Audiobook Social, every Monday 7:00 PM (except for when the Free People’s Artists Workshop meets the fourth Monday of the month). Bring a craft and enjoy an audiobook or audio drama with other crafty booklovers!
Worcester Storytellers, the fourth Friday of every month from 7-8:30 PM. Join the Worcester Storytellers for their open mic and featured reader every month. June is Cameron Garriepy! Next meeting is July 28.
The Free People’s Artists Workshop, the fourth Monday of each month from 7:00-9:00 PM. Networking and feedback from other artists and creators of all types. Co-sponsored by the Worcester County Poetry Association. Next meeting is TONIGHT June 26.
Doctor Who Discussion Nights, the third Thursday of every month from 7:00 – 8:00 PM. Join us for a discussion of our favorite science fiction series. Next meeting is, SPECIAL DATE due to travel, July 27.
The Rainbow Readers of Massachusetts is an LGBTQIA book club that will meet once a month, usually on the third Saturdays, from 6:00-8:00 PM. Next meeting July 15..
