Happy Holiday Shopping Guide! Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester, the “bigger on the inside” bookstore at 65 James Street, is happy to present our 2017 recommendations for gifts this year.
As we continue through December, we’d like to spotlight a recent collection we’ve acquired, with more than 3000 comic books added to our half-price comics selection.
There’s comics for kids and teens, as well as reading copies of comics for the serious historian in this latest haul of ours.
A large portion of this assortment have cover prices of $1.00 or lower, so those will cost 50 cents or less! This includes some high grade comics to please the collectors; in other shops they would be priced between $10.00-$15.00.
There are lots of favorites, including SUPERMAN, BATMAN, SPIDER-MAN, and many, many more. But there are also a strong group of reader favorites from Valiant and Acclaim in among this horde. Overall condition on these comics are truly excellent, so there’s something for everyone, especially gift-givers!
There is also a strong assortment of prestige format comics, trade paperbacks, graphic novels, hardcover collections and boxed sets, all discounted from their original 1980’s and 1990’s pricing, some still in their original factory packaging. There’s a lot of old and new reading to be had here that we’ve gotten in with this acquisition, at prices that you simply can’t find elsewhere.
To top the collection off, there are some action figures and limited edition statues both in-store and on their way, so we expect to have a very special selection of items perfect for holiday gift-giving!
