Annie's Book Stop of Worcester

The little bookstore that's bigger on the inside

Happy Holiday Shopping Guide!! Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester, the “bigger on the inside” bookstore at 65 James Street, is happy to present our 2017 recommendations for gifts this year.  For those of you with children to buy gifts for, we have some great new books that will certainly fit the bill!

Jane Yolen, the “Hans Christian Anderson” of our time, and her Daughter and writing collaborator, Heidi Stemple were at Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester on Sunday, November 12th.  We had a wonderful time chatting, listening to them read their stories, and having them sign their books. That makes it even nicer for our customers who weren’t able to make the book signing, since they autographed a number of books we now have in the store for sale!

Some of the books include one of her most popular ones, Owl Moon, illustrated by John Schoenherr. Many of you have read the book already, but as we found out, her daughter, Heidi was the inspiration for the book, and was the little girl in it. It is a classic, and is read in many schools in the area.

Among the books that Jane has written with Heidi are You Nest With Me, illustrated by Melissa Sweet, and Not All Princesses Dress In Pink, illustrated by Anne-Sophie Languetin. We do have a very limited supply of these autographed copies in stock.

There are several copies of Little Frog and the Spring Polliwogs, by Jane Yolen, illustrated by Ellen Shi, and On Bird Hill and On Duck Pond by Jane Yolen, pictures by Bob Marstall on our shelves as well.

The widely popular How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You?,  Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night?, and How Do Dinosaurs Choose Their Pets? By Jane Yolen and Mark Teague are also among the autographed books we have in our collection.

These are all new books, and don’t forget that Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester gives 20% off the price of all new books. We also do have a number of Jane’s middle grade pre-read books at half the cover price, (not autographed) so come on in, and enjoy her books yourselves, or buy some for a lucky child in your life! Don’t forget, we can mail it out for you, too!

Thank you for making Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester your neighborhood bookstore, and we wish you all a safe and happy holiday season!
