Annie's Book Stop of Worcester

The little bookstore that's bigger on the inside

Thank you to everyone who came out for our fabulous events this week! We had a full house for Paul Tremblay, but there still are a very few signed copies of The Cabin at the End of the World available. We also had a fun time with our Doctor Who Discussion Night and our How To: Find Crafts for Kids events as well!

Have you enjoyed our events or the time you’ve spent in our little store? Consider leaving us a review on TripAdvisor or leaving us a review on Yelp. You can also review us on Facebook!

We have some great events happening THIS WEEK too!!

Besides our regular Spinning Yarns event TONIGHT, Monday, August 20, starting at 7:00 PM,  and Board Game Night THIS WEDNESDAY, August 22, starting at 7:00 PM, we also have…

THIS SATURDAY, August 25, 1:00 – 3:00 PM, we’d love you to join us as we celebrate Author Sydra Mallery’s adoption picture book, A Most Unusual Day.

Sydra Mallery is an elementary school teacher, a poet, and an adoptive parent. She lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her family, a cat, and a bearded dragon. She has poetry in the acclaimed One Minute to Bedtime collection. A Most Unusual Day is her first book. Find out more at www.sydramallery.com.

A Most Unusual Day is the warm and loving lyrical tale of Caroline and her multiracial family as they bring home an adopted sister.

“This adoption story fills an important need in most picture book collections while also representing the general experience of becoming an older sibling. A must purchase for any library serving families.” — School Library Journal, starred review

“An unusually good adoption book.” — Kirkus, starred review
