As a loving tease / update for those following along… we do still have some Big News coming! Keep your eyes on all our social media—we’ll let you know as soon as we can!

Until then, here’s a quick look at what’s happening THIS WEEK!

THIS WEDNESDAY, October 17,  starting at 7:00 PM, join us for Board Game Night!

THIS THURSDAY, October 18, starting at 7:00 PM, join us for our monthly Doctor Who Discussion Night.

Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester hosts their monthly Doctor Who Talk on Thursday, October 18, from 7:00-8:00 PM. ABSW has a sizable representation of Doctor Who merchandise, and owner Patty Cryan is a long-time fan of the series—the world’s longest running science fiction serial! This month, for Halloween, we’re looking at Who-ventures that “go bump in the night”! What are some of your favorite episodes that have ghosts, haunts, spirits–or similar beings? What are some ways Doctor Who has twisted and turned ghost stories on their heads or subverted them? Come join the conversation!

THIS SATURDAY, October 20, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, join us for Christian Poetry with Diane Ashmore.

Local poet Diane Johnston Ashmore is a mother of three, a stepmother of two, and a widow who has always loved to write, but didn’t embark on that journey until after her husband’s death. She wishes to inspire others with her work and through God.

“This precious gift to write is a blessing to me. See, I was once lost, but now I see. God came into my life, and there’s no place I’d rather be but in the beauty of all he has given unto me.

I want people to feel the love through the words God has placed in my heart when they are feeling hurt, lost, or just on every day living. I want them to know they are not alone.”

Also THIS SATURDAY, October 20, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, we’re happy to host Rainbow Readers Discusses Check Please by Ngozi Ukazu.

Books available in the store!

“Helloooo, Internet Land. Bitty here!

Y’all . . . I might not be ready for this. I may be aformer junior figure skating champion, vlogger extraordinaire, and very talentedamateur pâtissier, but being a freshman on the Samwell University hockey teamis a whole new challenge. It’s nothing like co-ed club hockey back in Georgia! First of all? There’s checking. And then, there is there is Jack—our very attractive but moody captain.”

A collection of the first half of the megapopular webcomic series of the same name, Check, Please!: #Hockey is the first book of a hilarious and stirring two-volume coming-of-age story about hockey, bros, and trying to find yourself during the best four years of your life.

And THIS SUNDAY, October 21, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, come into our store for An Afternoon with Author / Publisher R. Salamack.

  1. Salamack shares from the novel, RICHCO, a tale of money, sex, and power and based on the life events of Naval officer Peter Rich, as well as her experience as a small publisher.
