Happy Holiday Shopping Guide! Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester, the “bigger on the inside” bookstore at 65 James Street, is happy to present our 2018 recommendations of gifts for the winter holidays.
Something you might think about as a gift for someone are hand crocheted kitchen towels. We have a fantastic selection of them, practically guaranteed to match any kitchen, because they come in all colors! This year we are happy to have kitchen towels for all seasons, created by local artist Katie Giroux, who crochets and sews all of the tops.
Let’s start with the towels that you can use all year ‘round, the ones that depict kitchens, coffee, and love. There are a number of all-year towels to choose from. Note that the towels are made so that you can wrap the knit top around the handle of your oven and button it so it will stay on!
Now, since everyone is thinking about the cold winter weather, snowmen, reindeer, and the holidays, we’ll go to our cool winter selection. You’ll see plenty of those items on the towels here.
After the long, hard winter, along comes the spring towels, complete with flowers and birds.
The summer towels remind us of where some of us would like to be right now – on the beach! Most of them have pictures of fish or shellfish, beaches, boats or sea birds. There are a lot more patterns to choose from than this, you need to see for yourself!
The leaves are changing color and falling off the trees, apples and pumpkins are abundant, and people are heading out to country stores. That’s the sort of thing you’ll find on the autumn towels. Winter will be coming again soon, so warm up with a hot cup of cider. Hmmm. Sounds like a good idea right now.
But before you get that cider, come on over, and catch a look at this unique gift that will suit just about anyone. Check out our supply of hand-crocheted kitchen towels before they’re gone!
From all of us at Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester, have a great holiday season, and thank you for making our shelves your destination.
