Annie's Book Stop of Worcester

The little bookstore that's bigger on the inside

aprilpoetrymonthdisplay2019

April is here, and that’s no joke! As is traditional at our little bookstore that’s bigger on the inside, this month is dedicated to two themes… the celebration of National Poetry Month, and our own concentration on horror to go with the poet T.S. Eliot’s line “April is the cruellest month…” Thus you’ll find plenty of poetry titles and horror titles on our displays and faced out on our shelves.

We do have an announcement to make that is, sadly, no joke…. we will be putting our weekly Game Night event, previously held on Tuesdays, on hiatus for the foreseeable future.  We will be looking to resume this very popular event in a new format as soon as is reasonably possible.

In happier news, don’t forget about…

Debbie Macomber Spring Sale and Giveaway!

Now through Saturday, April 6th, we’re running a special 70% off sale on our backstock of Debbie Macomber used paperback titles, in celebration of her newest non-fiction book. Check out our exclusive interview on our blog, posted on Friday, March 29th. Customers who purchase any Debbie Macomber titles, new or used, between now and close of business on April 6th will be eligible to enter our raffle to win a autographed copy of BE A BLESSING. The three winners will be announced on Sunday, April 7th at noon.  Check out our Facebook page for updates.

Many thanks to everyone who attended our monthly DOCTOR WHO Meetup on Sunday.  We had a low-key and relaxed discussion of television episodes past and present, as well as touching on some of The Eighth Doctor novels and his early fondness for kittens. Our next Meetup will be on Sunday, April 28th at 2pm.  We also expect to take a table at this year’s Clark Con at Clark University, where we will have lots of items for sale from the world’s longest-running science fiction serial.

As a reminder, the majority of our events here at ABSW are free and open to the public. Check out our page on SocialWeb.net!
