We’ve just returned from The Northeastern Writers’ Conference, an annual event known colloquially as Camp Necon and held at Roger Williams University. Featuring familiar names and rising stars in the genres of horror, weird fiction, and dark fantasy, it’s one of our favourite events of the year. We sold many books at our tables and brought home many books with which to restock our shelves and broaden our selection of titles here at our little bookstore that’s bigger on the inside.
July may be almost over, but we have lots to look forward in the weeks to come.
From now until Labor Day Weekend, our hours are: MONDAYS & TUESDAYS 10AM-9PM; WEDNESDAYS & THURSDAYS 10AM-8PM; FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS 10AM-9PM; SUNDAYS 10AM-7PM.

SPECIAL EVENT [free and open to the public]: Wednesday, July 24, 11AM-2PM – Let’s Go To The Moon! Craft Day A drop-in craft day to celebrate the 50th anniversary of NASA’s manned moon landing in 1969. We’ll have an assortment of astronomy crafts to make and take home, as well as space books for sale! Children must be accompanied by parents at all times.
RECURRING EVENT [free and open to the public]: Monday, July 29, 7PM-9PM – Spinning Yarns Craft and Audiobook Social! Bring a craft and enjoy an audiobook or audio drama with other crafty booklovers!
SPECIAL EVENT [tickets required]: Wednesday, July 31, 2PM-8PM – Harry Potter Day! For our annual celebration of The Boy Who Lived, we are planning special sales, trivia contests, a potion-making session, and more!
TIMED EVENTS REQUIRE A TICKET… $3.00 for materials fee. Ages 8 and up! Tickets available via Eventbrite.
ONGOING ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: * * Sorting Hat & House Placement *Costume Contest Entrants * Bertie Botts Bean Count Challenge * all starting at 12noon and running all day .
