Hot, hot, hot! As June slides into July, the temperatures outside rise, but indoors at our little store that is bigger on the inside we are still bringing you some “cool” reads for the beach and for your school lists.
As of mid-June. the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has lifted all COVID-19 restrictions for vaccinated persons. We are leaving it up to our customers’ comfort level whether they wear masks while shopping. If you have not yet been vaccinated or cannot maintain social distancing within the aisles of the store, we do suggest continuing to be masked; we’ve found it also assists with filtering out pollen and allergens! We still have fabric masks available for purchase in a variety of colors and styles, crafted by our staffer Dot Woodcock, retailing at $3.00 each.
Independence Day is rapidly approaching! The 4th of July falls on a Sunday this year, and the holiday itself will be honored on the state and federal level on Monday, July 5th. Therefore this week’s hours of operation are:
- MONDAY, JUNE 28TH THROUGH THURSDAY, JULY 1ST: 10AM TO 8PM
- FRIDAY, JULY 2ND AND SATURDAY, JULY 3RD: 10AM TO 9PM
- SUNDAY, JULY 4TH AND MONDAY, JULY 5TH: 10AM TO 6PM
We are aware that there will be no official fireworks celebrations in Auburn and Worcester, and we hope that private parties and family get-togethers on the weekend will be safe and enjoyable for all.
And if you’re planning a vacation road trip this weekend or any time this summer, don’t forget our selection of audios for the car, as well as some cheap reads from our sidewalk sale carts and our “grab-and-go” bundles from our popular series shelf!
