Annie's Book Stop of Worcester

The little bookstore that's bigger on the inside

First, since this is Veteran’s Day, I want to thank all the Veterans who served or who are serving in the Armed Forces. Their sacrifices are not unnoticed.

Speaking about another type of serving, this week’s assortment of books is like one big cookbook with many different recipes. Each book is in a different genre, is by a different person, and has a flavor all its own. Ah, cookbooks. THIS MUST BE THE PLACE: DISPATCHES OF FOOD FROM THE HOME FRONT by Rachel Ray begins our list. Talk about recipes! Next on the non-fiction side, we have THE LAST KING OF AMERICA: THE MISUNDERSTOOD REIGN OF GEORGE III, a biography by Andrew Roberts; WILL by Will Smith and Mark Manson considered a book about movies; and a delicious true crime book, LITTLE SISTER: MY INVESTIGATION INTO THE MYSTERIOUS DEATH OF NATALIE WOOD by Lana Wood. For a dash of fiction, we have a mystery, THE ARCHIVIST by Rex Pickett, followed by a thriller, FINAL SPIN by Jocko Willink.  I HOPE THIS FINDS YOU WELL: POEMS by Kate Baer is followed by a literary fiction novel, THE SENTENCE by Louisa Erdrich and a science fiction book, READY PLAYER TWO by Ernest Cline. I saved the dessert for last: THE WIT AND WISDOM OF BRIDGERTON by Julia Quinn, part of the historical romance series that has been loved by many has returned.

As always, thank you for making our shelves your destination.
