Annie's Book Stop of Worcester

The little bookstore that's bigger on the inside

The necessity of social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic over the last year and a half has had many different effects on how friends and family communicate, especially at this time of year. One thing we’ve definitely noticed here at our little bookstore that’s bigger on the inside is a sharp increase in people wanting to sit down and hand-write letters, enclosed in a lovely card.

This year is no different, and we have you covered for the loveliest of greeting cards,

About half of the greeting cards we sell come from a Seattle, Washington company called Laughing Elephant, whose mission is to preserve and share vintage commercial artwork from the 1890s to the 1980s.

We have dozens of different designs of individual winter holiday cards, perfect to send to that special someone or to keep as a special gift to yourself. From Victoriana to Art Deco to the age of the space race, these unique cards will make your season merry and bright.

All photographs by staffer Selina Lovett.

Thank you, as always, for making our shelves your destination.
