Or, pick up one of our Blind Date with a Book packages for $5 for four secret books!  We’ve already packaged a few up front with some hints, so check them out.

Last Friday, we had a wonderful evening with Jim Cambias, Ramona Wheeler, and Brian Staveley, three debut novelists from Tor Books who shared with us bits of underwater science fiction, Egyptian alternate history steampunk, and epic fantasy adventure and mystery.

Coming up later this month is Alberto Mercado, sharing his sixth novel Winds of Fall.  He’ll be at 65 James Street signing books and chatting with fans on Saturday, February 22 from 2PM-5PMWinds of Fall is a contemporary tale of two old friends, Rebecca and Cecile, reunited after many years. However, faced with seeing the abuse of her friend and daughter, Rebecca must make a difficult decision to save them—and reveal her own secret that’s been tormenting her all her life.

And closing out the month, on February 28 from 7-8:30 PM, Worcester Storytellers returns to ABSW for their open mic and featured reader.  This month, the featured reader is David Lucht, who will be sharing a “short life story,” “BASTA!”, based on his experience traveling in Seville, Spain.

For those of you looking to escape February and its cold and gooey romance, here’s a sneak peak for March!

On Saturday, March 8, from 2-5PM, Audrey Nicholson will be at ABSW doing a reading and signing of her debut novel Celtic Knots, which tells one Irish family’s spellbinding story of love, religion, and political tension in Ireland—and the indomitable Celtic spirit that pulls them through.

Worcester Storytellers is also mixing up their March 28, 7-8:30 PM event with poetry! (Because everyone else does poetry in April for National Poetry Month.) The featured reader of March, after the open mic, is Richard Fox, who’ll be reading from his poetry collection Time Bomb.

Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester looks forward to seeing you in the upcoming months, whether its to take advantage of our sales and low prices—or for one of our events!

May your world be filled with wonderful words!
