Annie's Book Stop of Worcester

The little bookstore that's bigger on the inside

One Witch CoverGreetings Friends of Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester!

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend with the Worcester Storytellers featuring Linda McCarthy and Susan Matusen on Friday and Kristina England’s debut of Stanley Stanley’s Investigative Services and Other Mysteries on Saturday. Between the two events, 65 James Street was hopping! We nearly sold out of England’s book, but there are a very few signed copies left.

With it now being April—Holy-moly, it’s APRIL!—if you’re a teacher, start shooting us your summer reading lists so we can make sure they are stocked for your students’ needs. You can send your lists to orders@anniesbooksworcester.com. We do have a fresh supply of Newbery Award-winning books and Goosebumps books that we picked up last week—so feel free to come in and peruse early!

ABSW also has a special contest happening right now. We’ve got an advertisement with WCCA TV 13 running for the month of April. If you can come in and tell us WHEN you see our advertisement run [meaning what WCCA program you were watching when our ad came on], you’ll be entered in a raffle to win a $50 gift certificate!

And don’t forget we’re participating in the Worcester–The City That Reads book drive. Our book donation box is to the right of the register. Donations should be new or gently used books appropriate for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade. Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester also offers an additional 10% off any books you buy from us just for this donation. We’re taking donations until April 30.

A reminder… we will be open our normal business hours this weekend.

Now, onto our events! Below is our ongoing list with updates, but watch our website and Facebook page for even more updates!
