Annie's Book Stop of Worcester

The little bookstore that's bigger on the inside

11092015 - blog north-readingWe had a most lovely time this past weekend with CV Shea and his Sherlock Holmes from A to Z (check out this Friday’s Author Spotlight blog to find out even more!), as well as our weekend-long Celebration of William Joyce. Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in both events!

Just a reminder, also, we’ve also begun our holiday hours. Here they are:

Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Friday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Saturday: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Sunday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

November is an especially hopping month here at our “bigger on the inside” 65 James Street bookstore.

Did you know we are a Come Write In! location for participants of NaNoWriMo – National Novel Writing Month? With support from the Worcester Writers Collaborative, we will be set up for all the November Thursdays from 3:00 – 7:00 PM for writers to come in and do what they do best—write! We have coffee, outlets, and WiFi, so come in and write your great novel amidst our shelves of beautiful literature.

AND because it’s such a kicking month, we’ve got more fabulous events happening THIS WEEK!

THIS SATURDAY, November 14, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, author, poet, and voice actor C.S.E. Cooney will be reading and signing from her recent release, Bone Swans, a collection of faery tales and twisted tales. If you want a sneak peak, we’ve already got the book in stock. A beautiful performer as well as writer, Cooney’s readings are not to be missed!

Also THIS SATURDAY, November 14, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, we will have the first meeting of the Rainbow Readers of Massachusetts! The Rainbow Readers is a book club focusing on fiction by and about the LGBTQA community. This month’s book is Charmed and Dangerous: Ten Tales of Gay Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy, which we have in stock. But, even if you haven’t yet read the book, come and talk about your favorite LGBTQA literature; everyone is welcome!

We also, sadly, have to postpone our Star Trek Mystery Night for an indeterminate amount of time. Once we have more information on a later date, we’ll let you know.

And for the rest of the month…11092015 - reading 2 blog pic
