Happy April Vacation Week!

There’s a lot going on this week at our “bigger on the inside” 65 James Street bookstore with these beautiful days happening around us!

But first, a big “Thank You” to everyone who came out for our events this weekend! We had Jo Page and Scott Schaeffer-Duffy here on Saturday and Sunday speaking about their inspirational experiences and memoirs. We also had a great turn-out for our Rainbow Readers LGBTQA Book Club to discuss Alice Walker’s The Color Purple.

Don’t forget, to, that we are once again supporting Worcester – The City That Reads book drive. Donate your new or gently used books appropriate for students from kindergarten to eighth grade. We will be collecting these books through April 30, and if you buy a book just for donation, we will take an additional 10% off.

Also this month, help us welcome back our neighbor, Sisters on Stafford Street. The diner is finally open again after a vehicle crashed into their building.  Anyone who buys $5 or more from our store can be entered to win one of two $10 gift certificates! (If your purchase is just under, consider buying a children’s book for Worcester – The City That Reads book drive!)  The drawing will be held on May 1, at the end of during our weekend-long celebration of Independent Bookstore Day – Vintage Book Event.  Winners do not have to be present to claim their prizes—but keep reading to see why you might not want to miss the party.
