Happy November! We hope everyone finds many things to be thankful for this month. Do know that we at our little “bigger on the inside” bookstore at 65 James Street in Worcester are very thankful for all of you!
We had a lovely Halloween last week, with folks coming in wearing costumes for our grab-bag treats! It was great to see you all.
Starting on Sunday, November 20, we will have extended Holiday Hours:
Sunday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Friday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Now that we’re in November, we are right in the midst of National Novel Writing Month, and we’ll be hosting Write-Ins with snacks at our store every Thursday (except Thanksgiving, as we’ll be closed), from 12:00 – 5:00 PM. We have also added another Write-In on Sunday, November 20, from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
THIS WEEK, we have our Rainbow Readers Youth and our Rainbow Readers book club meetings. THIS FRIDAY, November 11, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Rainbow Readers Youth discusses Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertali. And THIS SATURDAY, November 12, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Rainbow Readers of Massachusetts discusses Roller Girl by Vanessa North. We have both books in the store for purchase, and you don’t have to have finished them to join in on the discussion!
Unfortunately, we have had to postpone Put Some Scares into…: Horror Authors Pete Kahle and Tom Deady. The NEW DATE AND TIME for this event is Saturday, December 17, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.

NEW LISTING: Friday, November 25, 7:00 – 8:30 – Worcester Storytellers Features Nicole Waybright. Join us for our regular open mic followed by featured reader! Nicole recently finished her narrative nonfiction work in which she tells the true story of her coming-of-age struggles while deployed as an officer on a U.S. Navy destroyer.
