With a growing reputation for acquiring collections of used books, we sometimes come across some unique finds. Recently, we acquired a collection of Soviet Era Russian literature, containing all the titles you might already know, but also a great many from lesser-known Russian authors. Much of this assortment was published in Moscow and imported at a time where little came and went between Russia and the USA.
We’ve never seen many of the books in this collection before, despite over thirty years of book trade experience. Many of these titles are rare, priced in the tens or hundreds of dollars elsewhere.
Overall, condition seems wonderful on this assortment, and the opportunity to read literature penned from a unique culture in modern history is sure to appeal to many—especially those looking for new and unusual material.
We’ve begun sorting and organizing most of the books in English from this collection. Some of the sets we’ve put together are well below market price. A number of books will even be priced at $6.00, well below the $10 to $150 we’re seeing listed for these titles. With these prices, often 40-90% lower than current collector pricing and 80% lower than the average new-release hardcover, you’re sure to find something special for the reader on your list without breaking the bank!
