A story is powerful, regardless of the language it’s read, told, or heard in.
But hearing a story in a different language, or being able to read a story in the language one knows best is important for comprehension and an overall ability to enjoy a tale.
Here at Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester on 65 James Street, we want as many people as possible to enjoy our stories, so we specifically look for books written in other languages or written in more than one language.
We have quite a few children’s and picture books written in other languages, some bilingually in English and another language. Sharing books in multiple languages with kids is a great way to develop their communication abilities and strengthen their overall aptitude in language skills.
For adults, we have several popular titles in translation as well as many literary works written in their native tongues so people can study them as the authors intended them to be read.
